« New rules for Eurobot, new chassis. » OK, he don’t really said that, but he could. And it illustrated well what happens this year.
To take pallets and to make colons need a radical change in the mechanic employed compared to the past years which was based on balls.
So all the teams had to reinvented their robots (if you are an exception, please contact us). In the pits, we can see two different mechanical strategies :
The origins of the lake…
Posted 05/21/2009 - 15:09 by Iv
A tradition, origin of which is blurred, leaves us perplexed. Why the participants and organizers throw themselves in the lake at the end of the French Robotics Cup?
One of the versions goes back up in year 2000. She tells that it is a bet which is in origin there. An organizer would have bet with a participant that he could not go to search Sundae in Mac Donald' s which is on the other side of the lake. Neither one, nor two, they took off their clothes and are begun in swimming.

Posted 05/20/2009 - 20:23 by Iv
Eurobot conferences are held every year during the event since 2005.
The first one will feature Raja Chatila, France's biggest robotic laboratory (the LAAS), who will talk about cognitive robotics !
Cognitive robotics ? Indeed : if we want tomorrow's robots to be able to interact with humans, they will have to begin with undersanding us ! Professor Chatila will talk about ongoing research at the LAAS in this field, and the opportunity to hear from such a high profile figure of robotics is not something to pass !
Meet this thursday from 10:15 to 11:15 at the Athena amphitheatre.
