Dear Organizers,

till now, there is no announcement about the dates and location of Eurobot 2011 finals.

We do not have a national cup (too few teams), so we are only interested in the international cup. Indeed, we already started to work hard and a knowledge of the dates and place would help us to better organize the activities.

Any news in this sense?

Thank you in advance.

All the best.

I don't have any news about the date and location of Eurobot this year. Organizers will give details as soon as possible

Hello

Is there any info on when and where the finals will be held? It would help teams a lot organizing their trips, for exemple booking cheap flights...
Also, when the registration will be opened?

I visited the eurobot conference homepage this morning, and there is posted that the confernece will be organized by Charles University in Prague. The date is from 15th to 17th June 2011.

I guess the Eurobot will also be held in Prague (as like as the last years). Maybe anybody can confirm this information.

Michael

Thank you, uart. However, I think that RoboRacingTeam didn't want a confirmation of the information written
in that page; I think that he (and us) wants a confirmation of the location of the Eurobot competition.

The Conference site states:
Eurobot Conference wrote:
Eurobot Conference 2011 is organized in conjunction with Eurobot Autonomous Robot Contest. We encourage the participants of this conference to join the contest too - and vice versa.

Thus, it seems strange to think of a different location for Eurobot COMPETITION.

I kindly ask the Referent for an explicit confirmation of the location of Eurobot Competition.
It is very important for the organization of the teams.

I appreciate the double-language post. Nevertheless, in my opinion French SHOULD NOT be used in the International Forum.

RRT Friends...

as far as I know, Eurobot finals won't be held in Prague! Quite strange? Surely! It seems that this year the organization of the finals is a real mess! Till now, we are all working, spend time and money, but we have no evidence of the place where finals will be held and, worst, *if* they will be held!!!

How can we manage team organization when we don't know either the place or the dates?? And suppose that they decide to hold the finals in a very far place, too expensive for us (for e.g. travel tickets)??

Well... we are going to finish the robot... but the risk is that it could remain in our lab! Bah... what a shame!

Maybe we could organize an Austrian/Italian friendly championship! eheheh :-)

All the best.

Hello UNICT-Team

I strongly hope that the EUROBOT will be held and we'll meet there. If no finals will take place, I also find it a nice idea to make a friendly championship.

You should come to Switzerland, the contest is an "open" one :D !

And it would be cool to have more than 10 teams like last year :)

Any news? Some word from organizers would be very appreciated. If you can't give us specific date and location right now, juts say that you're still alive and working...

I d'ont have many news for you but Eurobot will not take place in Prague. For Your information, Eurobot Association, does not only organize Eurobot contest, the association also organize conferences.

How are things going? Do you have any updates on date and location topic? We are going to buy most expansive parts for the robot soon, so it would be nice to know at least, if there are going to be ANY Eurobot finals this year.
