Now it is official. Eurobot Final 2011 will take place in Astrakhan (Russia) form the 22dr to the 27th of June! I've received mail from organizers.

Are there any travelling possibilities instead of car? Train, discount flights? It is a little expensive to travel by car to Astrakhan. Who is the organizer there?

There are not direct flights to Astrakhan from european airports.
You should look for connection flights via Moscow airports. Companies that flying from Moscow to Astrakhan (Narimanovo Airport): Aeroflot, Avianova (low-cost), S7 Airlines, Nordavia, may be UTair Aviation.
Usually, trains are too loaded in summer season and it's possible to have some problems with buying tickets and so on.
Though you can look for tickets on site http://eng.rzd.ru/
