Packages

In order to provide full board accommodation for an interesting price, the CNES and Planète Sciences need to organize everything months before the event. That’s why we’re asking you to register as soon as possible ! Three packages are available :

 Group package – 07/27 to 08/03 For those who are parts of a team with a project (rocket, weather balloon, cansat …) ;

 Workshop package - 07/29 to 08/03 In order to access all the space related animations (lectures, workshops, forums …) and become addicted to space !

 Open package – starting 07/28 : For you to make up your own schedule !

Prices

The prices below include full board accommodation, visits, access to the launching sites, animations and lectures.

Approximation (08/05/29) : 20 € = 31 $ = £ 16 = 3275 ¥ 25 € = 39 $ = £ 20 = 4100 ¥ 120 € = 187 $ = £ 94 = 19700 ¥ 130 € = 202 $ = £ 102 = 21300 ¥ 150 € = 233 $ = £ 118 = 24600 ¥

After 08/07/10, it will only be possible to register on-site, depending on availability and for 25 € a day.

Registration R2E 2008

Please return it to Planète Sciences before July the 10th with a bank check payable to Planète Sciences (don’t forget to write your complete name on the back of it). It will be refunded if your project does not pass the preliminary control.

A confirmation will be sent back by email within 8 days (for Japanese groups : please take in consideration it might take a week for your application to reach France and Planète Sciences).

After 08/07/10, it will only be possible to register on-site, depending on availability and for 25 € a day.

How to go to La Courtine ?

La Courtine is 480 km from Paris and 90 km from Clermont-Ferrand, a small town located in the south-east of Creuse, near the border of Corrèze and Puy de Dôme.

By car

From Paris : 5 hours We strongly advise you to come along with other people (carpooling). If you have free seats in your car, please state so on the registration form, so we can put people with free seats and people without a car in contact.

By bus

Departure from Paris and Bordeaux to La Courtine : Sunday the 27th of July. Departure from La Courtine to Paris or Bordeaux : Sunday the 03rd of August.

Caution : There is no more than 30 seats left in the bus for the journey from Paris to La Courtine on 07/27.

There is no more seats in the bus for the journey back La Courtine-Paris on 08/03.

Appointment :

Paris-La Courtine : Sunday the 27th of July , 10.00 am at "Place d’Italie" (opposite the entrance to the mall) for a scheduled arrival at 5.00pm in La Courtine

La Courtine-Paris : Sunday the 3rd of August , starting 10.00 am for a scheduled arrival at 6.00 pm at "Place d’Italie"

Reception

The reception will be open from 07/26 to 03/08 between 9am and 7pm, located in building 117 – Craplet entrance.

Upon your arrival, go to the Planète Sciences stand to get :
 Your personal badge,
 Your parking permit,
 The participant’s guidebook,
 Your bedroom’s keys.

CAUTION : The bedroom keys will only be available in exchange of a deposit check of 20 €. This check will be returned to you when we get the keys back.

Accommodations

The registration fee not only includes access to the launching sites, lectures and animations, but provides full board accommodation as well ! Housing will be provided in four military buildings with 70 beds each (2 bed rooms) in the La Courtine military base. The buildings are of standard military model, clean and in good condition. If you are allergic to feather, you should take your own cushion. Beddings will be provided. The rooms can be locked. The military base is huge and the launch pad lies 6 km away.

All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) will be served at the same location, cooked by a chef, from Sunday the 27th of July (dinner) to Sunday the 03rd of August (breakfast).
